Food lovers, behold!

Yummylicious food ahead of you, enough to make you salivate, espcially if you love Malaysia local food :). It makes me hungry while uploading the pictures.

On a sidenote, I was chatting with a friend the other day about our local food. He said when he was in Portugal, his friend made him try the famous Portuguese egg tart there.

Friend A: You must try our famous egg tart. It's very delicous and is a must-try here.
Friend B: Oh, we have these in Malaysia too.
Friend A: Oh really? *surprised*
Friend B: Yes, we call it the Portuguese egg tart :). Do you know Malacca?
Friend A: Oh yes, Malacca! The place was conquered by Portugal in 1511.
Friend B: Maybe that's the reason we have Portuguese egg tarts in Malaysia :).

Welcoming July

Wow. Time flies. I didnt realized today is the 1st of July already until I read someone's blog. So what have I achieved in the month of June. Well, there isnt much besides work I guess. And I must say I ate lots of durians last month.....haha....at least once a week. So yummy :). Because of that, I see pimples popping out on my face from time to time. I promise that I'm going to stop the durian craze this month.

So, July is going to be another exciting month for me. I already have a few items in placed to do. MATTA fair, get a hair treatment (maybe rebonding also), go home, meet up with old friends, go shopping in KL, and celebrate my birthday :). Oh, did I just missed out watch Transformers 2 as well? :P I will still be very busy with my project at work this month, and not sure how long is it going to last but hopefully everything will turn out to be as smooth as possible, although I have doubts in it. All in all, I'm looking forward to go home mid of this month :D.

The Robot Craze

Transformers. Everyone is crazy about the movie, the story, and the toys these days, especially the guys. To be honest, I'm not a fan of transformers and I have no idea about these characters at all. But because I have a friend who is very much a fan of these characters/toys/robots, I'd decided to pay him a visit to meet his characters at the transformer exhibition held in Queensbay mall last weekend. Sometimes I think it's craziness (just like how girls love barbie dolls :P) but at the same time, I was amazed by the toy collection from the fans. So many people, so many characters and I have doubt how these people can actually remember the names and the roles of these robots O_O. Also, I find my friend's toys/robots (which he claimed not really transformers) very nice and interesting. Can you believe he have to buy the toys in pieces, paint them piece by piece and then glue them together? Amazing. I think that's just too much work, dont you think so? :P And guess what? I havent even watch Transformer 2 yet. Have you?

Here onwards are my friend's toys that he painted piece by piece, all by himself.
So much patience. You can view more here.

Chilling Out

It was Friday evening after work. We drove down to Gurney Drive, the prime tourist location on the island. I adore the place very much, especially those quiet streets are ideal to sit down to have a cup of coffee. We had our favourite pastries and sandwich at Coffee Bean, my so-called "Private Breathing Space". Although it's the prime tourist location, I've never seen a crowd of people at the lower end of Gurney Drive before. Most tourists swamp the other end of the street for delicious and mouth-watering local food. My favourite time to hang around there is during early morning or evening hours because the weather can be very chilling during those times.

Me looking very tired but happy after work.

My all-time favourite black iced tea at Coffee Bean.

Poppy seeds bagel sandwich with smoked salmon.

Flash backs

Two things reminded me of my pasts today. First, I visited IBM's service center in Penang during lunch time. The moment I stepped into the office, my mind flashed back to the day when I first step into the company in KL. It wasnt the people, the cubicals, nor the logo that reminds me of my ex-company. In fact, it might sound very silly and I dont think anyone would believe me. It was actually the "smell" of the office that triggered my memory and I shall call it the "IBM smell" :P. Only then I realized IBM not only looks the same but smells the same too (at least it was proven at 2 different locations) :P.

Second thing is the topic that everyone has been talking about the whole day today, especially the radio station. They've been playing all the songs by HIM over and over again since morning till now. Even the security guard I met outside my house was talking about him. Yes. You got the answer. It's Michael Jackson. I'm not going to say much and I just want to remember him as the person I used to fall in love with when I first listened to one of my favourite songs by him called "Heal The World". I was only a kid back then and as far as I could remember, all the children love him and he loves the children too. And I was one of them who loves him. I used to listen to his songs every day and loves to sing along. Rumours did not ruin the impression I had of him. May you rest in peace, our King of Pop. I'm really blessed to have known you and hear all your music. You'll always be remembered for your moonwalk. Love ya!
