FIRE FIRE!!!

There was a fire this afternoon at Intel. It was 12.10pm as we made our way to the car park. Along the way to my buddy's car, we saw a small fire from a car far away. There was an Indian man, he quickly jump out of his Proton car and ran far away from the fire. Few seconds later, the fire was triple the initial size...and soon thick smoke cloud the sky. In less than 5 minutes, the the fire was already burning the whole car down and was moving towards to the next car, a Kelisa. someone said they saw a girl crying and trembling at the same time at the scene. Guess she is the owner of the Kelisa. Pity her. Many people started to crowd the car park. Many people took out their camera phone to take pictures and videos. Those who parked their car nearby that area quickly drove their cars away from the scene, including the car parked next to the burning car on the right-hand side. The owner was really lucky that the wind was blowing towards the left...but pity the Kelisa owner. While waiting for the fire-engine to arrive, the car almost exploded. We heard 4 times of "POP" sound, from the tires. Intel's security tried to put off the fire with the fire extinguisher but they couldn't do much to control the fire. Five minutes later, the fire-engine arrived. They fire men managed to put off the fire in less than 2 minute upon their arrival. That was seriously fast! After the fire was off, we walked closer to the burnt car and have a clearer look. I wont describe the condition of the car further.....just take a look at the picture above. Luckily, this afternoon wasn't too hot. I would say the weather was quite cooling that time, except for the heat from the fire. This is my first time i watched a fire scene LIVE! Cool~~~~

LIVE GREEN is the theme.....

Last night's dinner was the WORST grand dinner i attended so far. Thanks to the self-volunteered dull emcee. He is a total failure. For the first one minute when he first introduced himself, everyone was still paying attention to him. Few minutes later, i noticed most people including our table started talking and ignored him. Basically, he was talking to himself on the stage. He was horribly boring!!! It was supposed to be a fun dinner and he spoil everything. I bet everyone didnt enjoy themselves last night. And what disappointed us the most is when they cut off the "Top model" cat walk due to the event was running overtime. The cat walk was suppose to be the last event, and since he spent so much time pleasuring himself for the first 4 hours, the Top model event got canceled in the end. Which means, all our efforts are gone!! Our manager was suppose to do his catwalk that we planned earlier and we put so much effort for that (though it was very last minute work). He was nicely dressed up in his Hawaiian outfit, with his shades and hat. We were suppose to go on stage and sing along with him and we even planned the details for each and every single steps for his cat walk. At the very last minute, on the day itself, we did so much just to make the event will be very lively. We downloaded a fantastic song called La Bamba by Los Lobos, and pretty much memorize the lyrics that we were supposed to sing along. We even sing the same song over and over again on the way to the hotel, during the dinner and before the event just to ensure we were nicely prepared. However, it was really a disappointing one. I dont know what to say anymore. The worst nightmare has happened, what can we do? Just hope that he will not be the emcee for this kind of event, ever again!!!!! I feel like strangling him!!!! ~!@#$%^&*()

P/s: Photos will be uploaded soon. Stay tune! :D

Hawaiian look for catwalk?

Gone. We "put our manager on the table" by nominating him as the "Most Wanted Model" for our PDC night this Thursday and he make it to the TOP 5. OMG!!! He hinted to some of us today saying other group formed a team to plan out their manager's outfit for the modeling. Yet, we didnt plan anything for him after "putting him on the table". Haha...feel bad ler. He need to do catwalk on the stage on that night and he need some idea on what to wear. After brainstorming, most of us agreed that he wear a GREEN Hawaiian shirt, a short pants, a slipper, a hat and a pair of shades. Cool!!!! But why green? Hehe...cause that's the theme for that night, "LIVE GREEN". Gonna bring this up to meeting tomorrow and hopefully he is okay with our idea. This is seriously a low cost and "yau yeng" idea okay!!! Cant wait to see him doing the cat walk :P.

What color do you want?

I want PINK color. He wants YELLOW color. She wants RED color. Haha...pretty funny to be arguing about the color of mugs distributed in our company today. Felt like a little girl again. However, i cannot stand the feeling of using the color of mug which i dont like. This is gonna be a long term effect. So better change my mug before it is too late :P. I got a YELLOW mug initially. At first, i didnt know there are other colors so when you have only one choice, you tend not to compare. Then later, i walked pass my manager's cubical and guess what i saw? I saw a PINK mug!!!! OMG. I want a PINK mug!! From then on, i tried asking around and in the end, Mr.KFC told me that the admin still has lots of PINK mugs. I was so happy to hear that and since he wanted a YELLOW mug, i gave him mine and i took his RED mug to exchange for a PINK one. I am truly satisfied now....but felt a bit childish :D.

Thumbs up for Lam Mee at Gurney Drive!!

We went to Gurney Drive for dinner. The last time we eat there was last month when my mum came over to Penang for Hari Raya. That was the first time i tried the "Lam Mee" there and i think that was the best Lam Mee i ever tried so far. So, since we have decided not to "over-eat" so that i can have some space for the avocado juice later, we went to eat Lam Mee at Gurney Drive. The first time i took some pictures there was when i first arrive in Penang for my internship. Since i brought my camera along today, i took a couple of pictures.

My younger sister tried this stall of rojak when she came to Penang with her boyfriend. They were not used to the local taste of rojak here (neither do i) and i have never tried any rojak in Penang since, except for mamak rojak.

The place is always packed with people. I guess, most of them are tourists.

Mimi's favorite Laksa. I dont really like Laksa.

One last shot before we leave.

After that, we went to Food Loft to get my Avocado juice.
Yummy~~~~

Q4'07 Circuit Team Building

I attended my deparment's team building today. The agenda was pretty light and easy except for the weather. We went for photo hunting and then later in the evening for dinner at Palace d India in Queensbay mall. The photo hunt was pretty exciting, however, none of our group members are from Penang so we didn't know where are some places located. We have to find the places in the pictures distributed by the committee members and take an exact shot of the places, posing exactly like the models in the pictures. By the end of the day, i had a head ache....guess it was due to the extremely hot sunny weather. By the end of the day, we didnt manage to find one of the places and had decided to give up and drive back to the company. We reached our company around 4.30pm and later, i rushed home for a shower and take a light nap. Luckily, my head ache recovered in time before i head off to dinner. The food was so-so only. Jason said they down-graded the food quality...probably because we are paying lesser. The funny thing was, in the middle of the dinner, they presented a magic show for us. Haha....there were many loopholes but overall was an enjoyable show. One thing for sure, after the team building, my ulcers got BIGGER!!!

Happy Birthday to Pierre....

Today is my buddy, YC's birthday. He likes people to call him "Pierre"....but i prefer to call him "Pamela"...haha. Anyway, we were suppose to go to town for seafood today. Thanks to Jeff a.k.a. Jessica for ruining everything. His money got stuck in the Maybank ATM machine when he was trying to deposit some money. So we end up eating at i-Avenue lor.....since he need to go to the Maybank there. Aih~~~~~

YC treated us NONYA cuisine. Erm...frankly speaking, i dont really like nonya food....didnt know their side dishes taste so bad. Well, that will be my first and last time eating there lor. But of course, i must thank YC for treating us there lar (though the food is no good :P). I give face to you, i finished my curry chicken :).

Haha....pity him, need to drive back to KL some more on his birthday. Else, we surely can go for dinner instead. I can bring Tommy along. Hehe....anyway, thanks a lot buddy! Looking forward for next year's meal.....YUM YUM.

Rose Body Milk

Mimi came home at approximately 6.30pm this evening and he came back with a surprise for me. Hehe....didnt expect him to buy me the rose body milk from L'Occitane. I visited the shop a week ago with a friend of mine cause he wanted to get something for his girlfriend. So i recommended him to get something from L'Occitane.....seems like my gift ideas always work out fine for him :P. That day, the promoter introduced the rose body milk and immediately i fell in love with the product. It smells so good....just like the lotion i used to try in Victoria Secret when i was in US. I knew mimi will surely like it. When i got back home that day, i let mimi smell my wrist...hehe luckily the smell was still there. He love it very much :). I thought he would buy it for me only during Christmas. Didnt know he will buy it so soon. Thank you so much mimi. So sweet of ya.

Economics = Frustration

I am currently at home all alone going through the theory of macroeconomics. Mimi went to service his car somewhere near Auto City and he is very reluctant to bring me along with him. Initially i wanted to go with him then go eat Nasi Padang somewhere nearby there (according to his mum) but in the end, i am stuck at home :(. He called me up an hour ago...telling me he will be back at 5pm. Wah....basically the whole day liao. What to do....i will continue to study then. But before that, i just feel like blogging a bit. Just want to complain a bit lar :P. Hhhmm....actually, i am still abit confuse with some economic terms...why cant it be any easier. Why economics have to be so indirect....no straight forward facts to explain things. *Frustrated* Anyway, we just bought mimi's mum a present for her birthday last night from Gurney. Hahah....i hope she will use it often....seriously, it is very difficult to buy her a present cause she has everything she wants (she is a shopaholic too :P). Hehe....i love the ribbon that cost us RM11 for the present. I will take a picture of it after i got my camera back. It is a customized ribbon to match the wrapping paper color. Cool~~~~~

Okay....i will stop here for now. Gotta get back to study so that i can watch the TV at 5pm :P. *Tata*

Substituting McDonald's Sausage McMuffin breakfast....

vs.

Credits to www.mcdonalds.com and www.epcc.edu

Hhhhmmm......many people find eating McDonald is fun and enjoyable where as having Subway healthy sandwich is a "vege" thing! Last week, i asked my colleagues if they would like to go to Subway for lunch. They went.....DONT WANT TO EAT VEGE LAR and DONT WANT TO EAT BREAD for lunch. Then when i asked what about McDonald? They were like.....OKAY, can also.

They are seriously so contradicting. Having burgers in McDonald is also EATING BREAD ler!!!! Well...some said because it's no fun eating vege, it's expensive and it's a diet thing. On the other hand, they were telling me that we should eat more vege and should eat less meat. Seriously, i dont know what to say ler. I think not many people like to eat healthily in this country until they fell ill. Then only they will start to care.

But i am not a pro-vegetarian person myself. I also cannot stand not having meat in my meals. FYI, Subway sandwiches come with meat okay!. They are not for pure vegetarians. It is like a healthy eating diet for health conscious people and definitely a good choice for anyone that want to be on diet :P. Hhhmmm.....but no doubt, it is rather expensive. One 6 inch sandwich cost RM9.90 and a foot long cost extra RM7. But anyway, i am beginning to like their breakfast sandwich set. It is only RM5.90 with a cup of hot beverage. Not bad......that will be our substitute to McDonald's McMuffin breakfast which also costs approximately RM6. It is a healthier choice.

Modeling @ Gurney Plaza

I was in Gurney Plaza last Friday and coincidentally, there was a fashion show that day. The finals was on the next day (Saturday) and i didnt have time to go watch it. Anyway, there were approximately 10 couples participated and there is one handsome guy that i like very much. He is seriously very handsome. I was standing at the wrong angle that day and i didnt get to take any good shots. *Frustrated* Erm......no matter what, i will still share those pictures i took over here. Enjoy the pictures below!!

This guy is not bad....hehe

I like her dress...

A closer shot at her dress...

This is the very cool handsome guy...

This couple so-so only...

Ah....this girl....she is pretty nervous that day.
Didnt smile much....heard that she is a manager!!
She joined the modeling for courage.

This couple also not bad...

All participants came out...

-The End-

Happy Deepavali and have a nice holiday everyone!!!

Isaribi Tei

This is my second time at Isaribi. The first time, my colleagues and I went there "accidentally". It was a Friday afternoon and we drove to town for lunch. We planned to go for "Cha Moey" but unfortunately it was closed. We didnt know where to go next, and we ended up driving without any directions. Then someone shouted, "Let's go to the Anson Seafood". It was just right in front of us. YC, the driver made a right turn and we ended up in an abandoned car park area. And guess what, the stall is not open either. How unlucky!!! We were about to drive out and someone saw a banner said, "Japanese lunch set from RM16++ onwards". We scan around that place and finally, we saw a small little back door leading into a house-like restaurant. We were too hungry to reject this option and went into the restaurant from its back door (which then leads us into the toilet area of the restaurant :P). I didnt even know that was a toilet area until i saw the toilet sign. It was a back yard with a beautiful Japanese-liked garden. I immediately fell in love with that place...very calm, beautiful and relaxing ambiance. We made our way into the restaurant and ordered their set lunch. The price is not as cheap as we thought. Each of us ordered their set lunch that costs RM25++. However, when the food was served, we didnt regret our decision. The portion of the food and the quality of the food is definitely worth the price. That's why i decided to bring mimi there....i am sure he will love it. The owner is very friendly, and he is a Japanese. So last weekend, mimi and i went to dine there. I was right! He love the place and we plan to bring his family there on his mother's birthday :). If you are a Japanese food lover, go check out this place. It is located at Jalan Chow Thye, opposite Hotel 1926. But even if you are not a food lover, i am sure you will enjoy eating there. This place is fantastic and the boss is a very humble man :).
